In order to get a grade for Larry Dugan's Web Development class CSC262 you have to create web pages, and where better to view web pages than on the web?

This tutorial will help you to upload your newly created web pages to the AXP server located on the FLCC campus.

The first step is to design a file system to hold your files.

• The first level holds your index.html and all of the chapter folders.
• In each chapter folder you will upload all of your assignments for the corresponding chapter
  as well as the index.htm (or whatever you called it) for that folder

They tell me that it is acceptable for computer geek, programmers and anyone else who works with computers to use pencil and paper. If in fact this is true then this is one of those times when you should practice this foreign task. Write down your file system structure. You will need to be familiar with it when you are creating links to and from your index pages and you project files, no mater if you are using absolute or relative links.

How to FTP with Internet Explorer.

All you need are:

an Internet connection

a copy of Internet Explorer

an account a FLCC (every student has one)

and the files you wish to upload

It's easy, Just follow the steps below.

1. Open the folder that your files are in on your hard drive.
2. Open Internet Explorer
3. type ftp://username@axp.flcc.edu/ into the address window,
   it may take a few seconds to find AXP so be patient
4. The first time in you will have to type your password, you may or may not have to after.
• Use the same same username and password you would use here at the school to log onto a computer
  (hint: same system) You know the drill
5. Double click the www folder. This is the folder that is viewed from the web
6. Now comes the easy part.
• Left click and hold the file(s) you want to upload.
• Drag them over to the ftp://axp.flcc.edu/www window.
• Drop the files there.
• Voila! Yes, it's that easy

Now surf on over to http://axp.flcc.edu/~yourusername/yourfile.htm and view your web page

Now sign on the SLN or WebCT and submit a link to Prof. Dugan

Then send a link to you Mom and Dad so they can see what fun you are having at school!
